If you are on facebook then no doubt you have been hit by this tag and I thought if am going to exhaust my brain thinking of 25 random facts about me that I would share them here as well.
I have ignored this tag enough and it is apparent that I will continue to be tagged until I complete it so here it goes!
1. I really hate email forwards. I rarely open them and frankly don’t believe I will have bad luck or my friends won’t feel loved if I don’t copy them in a silly email within 5 minutes of opening it.
2. I would drink diet coke only if I could get a way with it. If I win the lottery you better bet I am installing a fountain drink center in my home.
3. When I was pregnant with Alaina, I craved potatoes, pancakes and A1 steak sauce…yes together and I realize that is a disgusting combo now but boy did it hit the spot then!
4. This time I am craving seafood. I see food and I want it. Just kidding, however I have been salivating at the Red Lobster commercials for scallops and shrimp. Which I understand the shrimp but I have never had a scallop so I have no idea why I want to eat one so badly.
5. I have lived in 3 states: Ohio, Utah and Kentucky. I have officially lived in KY the longest now and am just in the past few years can refer to myself as from KY. I held on to my Utah roots for awhile but it is time to accept that bluegrass state as my home.
6. I love board games. But, I am really competitive at them. During a thanksgiving game of phase 10, I think I threw an empty water bottle at my hubby for “throwing me under the bus” Hmm, and I wonder why no one wants to play with me.
7. I went through 3.5 years of infertility treatments to be told that I couldn’t have anymore kids in June of June of 2008 only to find out after being prayed for in September of 2008 I was healed and prengant that same day.
8. I am due May 27 with a baby boy to be named Samuel Nolan.
9. I struggled with self esteem and eating issues during my adolescence which is why I am passionate about working with kids now. God completely transformed my life and my body image and I want kids to know how amazing God created them so they have the tools to get through the tough years knowing how fearfully and wondefully made they are!
10. I love to read. That being said most of my reading now consists of my Bible. I am voracious in making sure I have read every bit of what I am teaching the kids every week several times so I can listen for guidance and be able to answer all of the kids questions. (Seriously, a 10 year old kid asked me last week about the antichrist. I need to stay on top of it!)
11. My ipod is a mish mash of the most eclectic music. You will find pop, rock, oldies, alternative, Christian, Christmas, and even the Wiggles. And yes, I listen to them all.
12. I have flat feet which means I have no arches in my feet. I think God was preparing me to suck at sports from birth.
13. My best friend of umpteen years refuses to join facebook. (I will be posting this list on my blog as well so she can feel her ears burn about it again!)
14. I have a high tolerance for alcohol which is why I don’t drink at all.Too many alcohol issues in my extended family for me to ever take a chance. A wise friend told me once you never know what your demons are so stay away if you think it might be more than you can handle.
15. I am domestically challenged. In fact my parents have always tried to instill in me that the reason for my bad math grades was a direct result of not making my bed. I still don’t get the correlation but I still don’t like to make my bed.
16. I am crafty. I taught myself to knit (not well), crochet, sew and a multitude of other crafts since Alaina was born. I didn’t care about handmade things in the past but since having her I am mildly obessed with her understanding where things come from and an appreciation for craftsmanship.
17. In college I drove a Buick Skylark that resembled a rocket ship. I was supposed to share it with my brother but he thought it was so ugly he refused to even ride in it so I had it all to myself.
18. I can laugh about this now, but in the height of my eating disorder and my family was trying to help me they opened up my trunk only to find months of lunches stuffed in there. I don’t think my mom or brother will ever be able to eat a frozen burrito after retrieving so many of them from my trunk. No worries, if you haven’t seen me in awhile rest assured I am not the skinny minnie I used to be and I eat my burritos now.
19. My husband and I are big kids and can’t think of better vacation then going to Disney World (with or without kids!)
20. I don’t know how I survived in the past without my DVR (tivo) I can now watch all of my crappy reality shows in peace in the middle of the night when no one else can complain. Bravo where have you been all my life? Lol!
21. In high school I hung out with a group of girls that were all blonde. People actually referred to us as the blondes. We have all ended up in different states and incredibly different but I credit those girls with getting me through my high school years in tact.
22. I am a people watcher. But, worse than that I make up scenarios about them in my head of how they must have gotten to that particular situation. My hubby thinks I am nuts to even give strangers a second thought.
23. I despise rodents of all types. If Alaina ever asks any of you why Mommy won’t ler her have one as a pet someday, I fully expect each and every one of you to cooperate and go along with the story that I am allergic.
24. I have a blog that is for the most part now sorely neglected. But, every once in a while I will find something in my life that is worth updating it. http://alittlemoore.wordpress.com
25. I worked at Target throughout college. A part of me still wishes I worked there. I really miss the first dibs on clearance and my discount!
I was tagged twice in the last week by Sullivan Sitcom and Kara to share seven random facts about myself. Which, is a stretch for me since I just completed my list of 28 a few weeks back. But, I am always up for the challenge and hope that this new batch of randomness isn’t too strange for you!

My feet are always cold. Especially my toes. It is the running joke at night with the hubster that I can’t stand when his feet touching me and he hates when I try and warm up my feet up on his legs. But, I can’t wear socks when I sleep so I have gone so far as to crochet myself a toe sock but it fell off in the night so the cold toe dilemma continues on.

I am fascinated by the show “Cities of the Underworld” on the History Channel. It never ceases to amaze me what secrets we could be walking on at any given time.
-
Much to my public declarations of my hatred of the clog style crocs, the first time that I tried on my mammoth crocs, I was in love. If loving them is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
-
I love pajamas. Especially flannel pants. They get better with every wash and I own 29 pairs of them. I change into my pj’s usually within minutes of getting home. I choose comfort over style at home any day of the week.
-
I don’t mind cleaning our toilets but scrubbing bathtubs and showers gross me out.

It has taken me 32 minutes to come up with 6 random facts that I haven’t already shared and contemplating trying to find a seventh is making me feel incredibly uninteresting.
I was tagged by Sheree to share seven random things about me! So, here we go! More about me than you ever wanted to know!
1. I recently stopped biting my nails. After almost 28 years of biting my nails, four months I stopped cold turkey. Now that I finally quit I am not sure what I could never do it before when I had tried. Now I have long and pretty nails and have only suffered one broken nail since
2. I have a thing about symmetry. Pillows, picture frames, bookshelves. Things have to be symmetrical or it bugs me to no end!
3. I drink way to much diet coke on any given day. It is a sickness and borderline addiction. I swear to you that I literally get a little high on the first sip. Only another diet coke addict would understand that but I know I am not alone!
4. Two of my favorite foods in the world are two that I can’t have. I love peanut butter and eggs (not together!) but Alaina has a severe food allergy to all nuts and eggs. We choose to be an egg and nut free house to help protect her from what could make her sick.
5. I love to sew (ok, that is not a new or a random thought!) but I can’t read a pattern to save my life. I can follow an ebook with step by step picture instructions but give me a pattern I just can’t get it. Everything I make for Alaina is based on pictures of things I have seen and I just guess how to make it. I have alot more things I have sewn that don’t make it to the blog because they turn out to be complete messes. Anyone want to come to Kentucky and show me how to use a pattern? Lol! There would be a lot more pretty blog posts:)
6. I am obsessed with candles. I have a candle burming almost all of the time in my house. I am picky on the scents and can’t stand any floral scent. Fall is my favorite time of the year because I can bring out my pumpkin scented candles!
7. Cinnamon. I like cinnamon but cinnamon flavored makes me gag. Cinnamon gum or toothpaste makes me nauseous. I like cinnamon toast, I like it sprinkled on my applesause but full on cinnamon flavor makes my tastebuds revolt!
First of all, Sweet Kara of Inncocent Charm Chats has awared me the Nice Matters Award for This award will be awarded to those that are just nice people , good blog friends and those that inspire good feelings and inspiration! I was tagged by Southern Girl Musings and it was fun to complete! I have never really blogged about my faith and since my blog is mostly aimed at my crafty endeavors I hope this isn’t too much information. It is good to type it all out everyonce in a while. Keeps you grounded and remind you to walk the life you talk.
1). What is your favorite worship song/hymn?I really love modern worship music and hymns. My current favorite modern worship song is by Delirious and is called “My Glorious”. It never fails that I feel the Holy Spirit with me when I sing those lyrics and subscribe to the fact that God is bigger than me and I can trust that he can save me and salvage my mistakes and make something beautiful out of my life. I have two favorite hymns, Lift High the Cross (this was also the recessional song in my wedding!) and How Great Thou Art which was also my late Great Grandmothers favorite hymn.2). Favorite verse, and/or chapter in the Bible? My favorite verse and literally my mantra that I tell myself everyday is, Romans 12:12, “Be Joyful in Hope, Patient in Affliction and Faithful in Prayer” That is the process and that I take with everything in my life and it is a calming and reassurring method of how to react to life in its greatest moments as well as times when I struggle.3). What lead you to God? Let us hear your testimony!Truthfully, I do not remember a time when I was led to God. I grew up in church and grew up accepting Christ for as long as I can remember. However, after sophomore year in college I feel like I refound God, even though I never physically left the church, many of my actions were not pure of heart and of God. I prayed for forgiveness and changed a lot in my life after that. My lovely then fiancee and now husband accompanied me on that journey and both of our lives were forever changed for the better when we made that rededication together.4). How do you live day by day with the Lord?I am involved with Bible studies and daily time with my bible and prayer. I spend a lot of time reflecting after reading and seeing if God has anything to reveal to me. It is amazing how I am lead to certain verses when I pray for answers.5). Living Bible? NIV? KJV? The Message? Which is your favorite and why?I like the NIV (new international version) because that is what I grew up using but enjoy others including the message when I teach children and youth.6). What is your favorite hobby (besides blogging of course!)If anyone has read this blog before then you know it is crafts, crafts and more crafts and if eating chocolate could be considered a hobby then I would claim that as well. 7). Are you more likely to read the Old Testament or the New Testament when you read your Bible? It really depends on what I am looking for. I find a lot of answers and solace in both testaments. 8). What’s your favorite place to go on a date (with your spouse of course!)We are lucky to get out for dinner and a movie most of the time. But, we love a good round of golf with eachother. It eats my husband alive when I outdrive him! But, my short game is less than desirable so we still have a lot to teach each other.9). If you could travel to any country on earth where would you go?I have never been out of the country so I am willing to go wherever! I would love to travel through Europe someday!10). Where did you meet your spouse? We briefly met at a church youth group fundraiser and then a week later we met again on an airplane to New Orleans. We spent the week at a youth gathering and he asked me out on the plane ride home. That was 10 years ago yesterday!
Miss Kara has tagged me to write 8 random facts about myself. I have dreaded getting this tag only because I don’t feel like I have 8 interesting facts about me. But, I will do my best but you have to promise not to desert me after you find out how boring I truly am.
- I am a diet coke fanatic. I have at least one Mc Donalds fountain diet coke per day. Sometimes more. I am pretty sure that there is crack in it because I am beyond addiction for it. I am not beyond fighting with the princess to get in the car with me so Mommy can go and get a fix. Diet Pepsi is a no can do for me. I am a diet coke snob.
- We own 18 Wiggles dvds and I think I have all of the songs memorized. We also have a wiggles cd in the car. I have caught myself on more than one occassion listening and singing along only to realize that I am kidless in the car.
- I set my alarm 2 hours before I need to be anywhere. It has never taken me 2 hours to get ready therefore I use the snooze button sometimes 10 times. It is hugely annoying to my husband with good reason but I am terrified of oversleeping if I have somewhere to be.
- I don’t have a favorite color. I think of colors in combos. I like brown when it is combined with pink. I like purple together with green, I like yellow when it is with blue. But, I don’t like just plain colors!
- We have been trying to have another baby for over two years unsuccessfully. It is frustrating and we are pretty much putting it all on hold now. Too much stress to dwell on it.
- I dip my fries in my frosty (chocolate shake!) at Wendy’s. I don’t do this anywhere else. I acutally only use it to dip my fries in when my fries are gone I pitch the frosty or give it to someone else. Frostys are only a dipping sauce to me!
- I bite my nails. I have tried my whole life to break this habit. I just can’t stop. I used to get my nails done and that kept me from picking at them but I ever since I had Alaina I never seemed to have the time to go out and now that she is older and I can get out I am too cheap to go out and spend money on getting them done. Maybe I will treat myself to a mani/pedi soon!
- I could eat Pizza everyday. Not a desirable option for my diet but there is nothing better than a slice of hot cheese pizza and if I am getting it just for myself my favorite topping is pineapple! If you haven’t tried it, don’t knock it until you have! It is so good!
Ok, so there you have it 8 random facts about me. I am going to have to think about who I am going to tag but if you haven’t had the chance to do this for your blog consider yourself tagged!
