I hope you all are having a fabulous Christmas! This season went quick for us between work and getting our home decorated, last minute shopping and cleaning up puke.  Ok, so that wasn’t the most wonderful start to a holiday post but that is what truly what our month has looked like. Alaina started us out with a nasty flu and pretty soon we all took a turn with it. After over a week of non stop sickness in our house we have all recovered in time for family get togethers and gift exchanges!

My Christmas events at church went on without a hitch despite many last minute freakouts by me and I was pleased to see full house for “my kids” Christmas program despite prior technical difficulties and a weather forecast that looked bleak! Praise God for keeping his hand on our events!

I even recovered in time to do little holiday baking! I made homemade peppermint marshmallows. I couldn’t resist after seeing Morgan make hers! They were super easy and everyone (including myself) were impressed at how wonderful they looked and tasted!

The rest of our year is filled with more celebrations and get togethers which will keep us on the road. These shoes will be present at all of my celebrations since I was given the compliment that I looked taller and thinner. Um, any idea how to incorporate red stilletos into my everyday wardrobe?

Oh the advent calendar envy that I have had lately. There has been some amazingly creative designs all over blogland! Even though I am a few days late in getting mine completed I knew I had to make one as well. I saw this design and was totally inspired! I loved the idea of the wreath idea and wanted to do something similar. I wrapped a styrofoam wreath with ivory ribbon and picked up watch tins at the craft store and then added some sparkle berries and evergreen and I was done! I really love the way it turned out!

This is also the first week where they have predicted snow for us. I had Alaina try on her snow suit last night and I have never seen her ham it up like this before. Here is my silly girl hoping for snow!
