I have seen the the tutorial for these glass magnets before but had not yet tried! I finally sent pictures to be developed (I won’t tell you how long it has been since the last time I actually had that done in fear you that the scrapbookers might hang their heads in shame at me!) But, the little index cards with all of your prints come in quite handy for this project! The project cost less than a $1 and I have lots of supplies to make more! Not Martha has a great tutorial for this project here. The project was much fun as everything is that involves squishing hot glue! I think when the princess actually undertstands a chore or good behavior chart that this would be a fun way thing to incorportate into it. However, if you ask my child to help clean up she pretends that she is asleep. There is no denying that this child is mine. We have a while before we get to the point of understanding chores!

I hope this day find you and your loved ones safe! Above is one of my favorite picutres of the princess. It was taken last year on memorial day but I can remember it just like it was yesterday. Once again it is hard not to see the true essence of my sweet and silly girl in it!

Last weekend I recieved some scrumptious Michael Miller fabrics that I had bought with the intention of saving them for fall for an idea I had for dress for the princess. However, it did not like being set aside in the stash and it begged me to use it now! I have been eyeing this shoulder bag tutorial by Tiny Happy for months and finally decided to use it. I made a few modifications and decided to make it reversible. Which I am pleased as punch to tell you that it worked! Woohoo! Nothing better than a craft actually working out the way you intended it to.

I am a magazine and catalog addict. Clothes, crafts, ridiculous gifts, bulk party supplies, cooking, parenting, celebrity gossip….you name it I get a mag or a catalog of it! Now for part 2 of the addiction. I refuse to throw any of it away. I have stacks and stacks, upon more stacks hidden in piles in my basement and craft room of my beloved magazines and catalogs. Each has things that inspire me that or that I might want to read again. The sad things is that I am always on the prowl for more. In the last month I have gotten subscriptions to 4 new magazines (which did you know you can get them really cheap on ebay?!) However, I subscribed to one 6 weeks ago that I haven’t gotten yet and they don’t sell it anywhere near me! Please let me know if you have access to an extra copy of the new issue of Adorn Magazine. I would be forever grateful if you would pick up a copy for me! My addiction won’t be complete without my crafty fix, especially reading the preview!

The princess Alaina has called cupcakes “cuppycakes” since the very first time she saw one. She can’t eat cupcakes most of the time since she is allergic to eggs but that doesn’t mean we don’t love to look at them! There is something perfect about a cupcake. Just the right amount of cake and frosting. You can eat it with your hands and somehow it seems guilt free to even have seconds! Today, we will be making cupcakes thanks to Mary since she was so sweet to send Alaina an egg free egg subsitute so she can enjoy baked goodies too!
The clip shown is a little bit of the cuppycake goodness for my swap partner from Amy’s Cupcake Swap I have so many ideas so little time!
Now for the new category….you know you want it! If you are like me and you have a house full of kids all day and your craft time is your down time to relax then you will LOVE these candles. A friend from a message board and her family own this company Swan Creek Candles and they are AMAZING! I am currently burning Hazelnut in my craftroom and Vanilla Poundcake in my kitchen and my house smells incredible. I couldn’t ask for a more pleasant atmosphere then being surrounded by the smells of cupcakes and lattes which is what my house smells like today. Plus she sends free candles in every order. It really doesn’t get better than that!
I was checking out the blog stats yesterday and there was a link from wordpress about their most growing blogs. To my surprise I was on their top 100 list. I was at 75, but hey I will take it! Thanks for joining and inspiring me to keep posting on this little blogging adventure.

This my favorite bow! It is simple and classic and can be made in a variety of sizes! Alaina calls this bow her pinwheel bow so that is what I will call it too! Enjoy the tutorial and please comment if you were able to and use them!

This week has been so busy! Crafts have been started and finsihed and shipped without so much as a picture being taken! I had a request to recreate the Ariel outfit with Care Bears fabric but the catch was that I had 48 hours to get the fabric, create the dress and get it shipped! Time was tight but I made the deadline and they arrived in time for a Care Bear birthday party in Texas. Hopefully, she will share the party pics of the outfits that I made for 2 adorable sisters.
During the day I keep kids in my home and in 2 weeks school will be out and I won’t have any more kids here other than the princess. I thought I was looking forward to a nice break but I know how much the princess will miss seeing her friends everyday. Hopefully this summer will bring lots of crafty playdates! The picture is the princess with one of her little friends whom we will both miss this summer.
I woke up this morning to a new Coach wallet from my hubby and the princess! I am having difficulty accepting such a pricey gift! They are too good to me! This afternoon we are headed to a BBQ and then 9 holes on the golf course! Sounds like a perfect day to me!
Forgot to add that the Coach Wallet turned into a cute little purse! Perfect for vacations! My golf game however, was less than to be desired! It was mediocre at best. Maybe next year golf lessons should be my gift.

When we first bought our home almost 4 years ago one of the selling points for me (it was my this is the one moment) was the gorgeous Magnolia tree in the front yard. Every year it has the most amazing blooms. It had faithfully flowered every spring since we have lived here and I enjoy and treasure that site for the month where the petals sit so perfect outside of our window. Well, this year my bloom came and gone before it was able to be enjoyed. Our spring came a month early only to be dashed by a deep freeze for a week destroying my spring blooms. No doubt it is still a beautiful tree but I will be in mourning of my blooms until next spring.
